Dr. Konstantinou read Medicine at the University of Crete where he graduated with upper second-class honours (A-). Following his junior medical jobs in Limassol General Hospital, he spent a year in Pitié –Salpetriere hospital in Paris. There he trained in internal medicine, rheumatology and metabolic diseases. For a further 3 years, he trained at Charles Foix hospital in Paris and concentrated on the management of chronic ulcers and wounds. He obtained two diplomas; one from Marie Cure University Paris in the management of Chronic Ulcers and Wounds, and one from Ecole de Medecine Esthetique Paris in Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr Konstantinou then went back to the University Hospital of Heraklion in Crete to complete his training in Dermatology and Venereology. He also trained in special divisions of his department such as : photodermatology, allergology, dermatosurgery, trichoscopy and nevus check and follow-up".
Dr Konstantinou now practices in Limassol and specializes in skin diseases, diseases concerning skin appendages (hair, sebaceous glands e.t.c. and external genitourinary system. Dr Konstantinou has an active academic interest both in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. He recently published articles on the application of LED in aesthetic medicine and described in Pediatric Dermatology review a rare skin manifestation of a rare immunodeficiency disorder. He is fluent in Greek and French and has a very good knowledge of English. Member of EDAE (Hellenic dermatology-venerology society)and DAEK (cypriot dermatology-venerology society).
